As the largest crude oil production base in China, the cumulative crude oil production of Bohai Oilfield has exceeded 500 million tons, making important contributions to ensuring national energy security and promoting economic and social development. The full operation of Kenli 6-1 oilfield group will help Bohai Oilfield achieve its goal of producing 40 million tons by 2025.
In recent years, CNOOC has steadfastly promoted the “seven-year Action Plan” to increase domestic oil and gas reserves and production, strengthened innovative research on oil and gas exploration, and intensified efforts to solve oil and gas exploration problems. In the past four years, Bohai Oilfield has continuously explored and discovered 500 million ton oil and gas fields such as Bozhong 19-6, Kenli 6-1, Kenli 10-2, Bozhong 13-2 and Bozhong 26-6. In addition, according to statistics, the Bohai oilfield has accumulated more than 1 billion tons of new oil and gas proved geological reserves in the past five years, providing a strong material guarantee for the production of 40 million tons in the Bohai oilfield, and laying a solid reserve foundation for China’s offshore oil and gas production to constantly refresh the record.
